One of the more well-known facets of the fantasy include lycanthropy and vampire oriented themes. Animal transformation fantasies are popular with some elements of the furry fandom and those who participate in pony play.

Pillow People are square stuffed toys that have faces on them done in decals . They were popular during the mid 1980s, and came out in 1986. They are a long pillow with flat hands and puffy feet which wear shiny fabric booties. The arms and legs are also stuffed, and dangle from the main pillow body. Besides the ‘people’ of the line, there are also pillow pets like cats and dogs and other things, such as bed sheets, which came out with the Pillow People characters on them. In 1996 for a short time Sandbox entertainment brought back Pillow People.

Woodhouse, formerly Woodhouse Junction, is a railway station serving the Woodhouse and Woodhouse Mill in Sheffield, England. The station is 8 km (5¼ miles) East of Sheffield Station on the Sheffield to Lincoln line. The next station East was Waleswood, until its closure in 1955, and is now Kiveton Park. The next station West is Darnall. Beighton Station, originally adjacent to the junction with the Midland Railway, but rebuilt by the M.S. & L.R. when they commenced work on their “Derbyshire Lines”, was until 1954 the next station South.

Woodhouse Mill, Orgreave and Fence were also served by a station on the North Midland Railway named Woodhouse Mill.

History

The present station is the second built to serve the community of Woodhouse, then separated from and not under the governance of Sheffield. The original station, opened in September 1850, was situated at the bottom of Junction Lane, adjacent to the present Woodhouse Junction, formerly East Junction, signal box and was built to serve the communities of Beighton, then within Derbyshire, and Woodhouse. This station was closed on 11 October 1875 and replaced by one of the earliest examples of the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway’s Double Pavillion designs at its present location.

Colliery lines

Woodhouse was the hub of two colliery branches: to the West a branch to Orgreave Colliery, which was extended to reach Treeton Colliery under the M.S.& L.R (Extension to London) Act 1893 and opened on 10th October 1898, and to the East, from Woodhouse East Junction, the Birley Branch, which served the Birley Collieries, belonging to the Sheffield Coal Company.

Service

An hourly Westbound service to Sheffield and hourly Eastbound service to Lincoln are operated by Northern. A limited service is provided on Sundays. Woodhouse is also served by the Saturday only service linking Sheffield and Cleethorpes via Brigg.

Overview

The story is about a young boy named Sugata Sanshiro (Cantonese: 3四郎) and his miniature PlaWrestler pocket robot with super LSI circuit named Juohmaru (Cantonese: 柔王丸). Initially, the show was about Sanshiro’s battles with Juohmaru against other PlaWrestlers in robot battle tournaments that were a hybrid blend of modern wrestling, hi-tech Robot Wars and Japanese noh theatre. As the series went on, its focus shifted to Sanshiro exploring the possible uses of PlaWrestling technology in medical implants, and his clash against those who wished to use it for military purposes instead.

Characters

Sanshiro’s group

Sanshiro Sugata

Sanshiro is the series’ protagonist and a PlaWres modeler. His PlaWrestler, Juohmaru, is custom-made. Initially, Sanshiro is an ambitious rookie, and his overconfidence and brashness leads to several mistakes that he sometimes does not get out of. As the series, progresses, Sanshiro learns to think more rationally and consider the benefit of others rather than only his own.

Kyoko

Kyoko’s is Sanshiro’s friend and possible love interest. She is assistant judo instructor at the Sugata family dojo. She is energetic and outspoken and does not hesitate to scold Sanshiro whenever he makes a mistake. Kyoko works at her family’s eatery business and can drive a motorcycle.

Shota

Shota is Sanshiro’s best friend, whose job is collecting information of any kind, particularly on rival modelers. Shota is hyperactive and is shown frequently running in a peculiar style of his own invention. He is also flirtatious, a loudmouth and quick to judge on first impressions. However, he takes his duties seriously.

Tetsuya

Tetsuya is Juohmaru’s mechanic, responsible for fine tuning him, upgrading him and repairing him, especially during the minute-long break between a battle’s rounds. He is shown to be very capable, a quick thinker and an innovator, although at times he has taken offence at Sanshiro overriding him for Juohmaru’s maintenance.

Shinji Murao

Shinji is Juohmaru’s programmer. His code, along with Sanshiro’s manual control, guides Juohmaru in the battle ring. Like Tetsuya, Shinji is portrayed to be good at his job and a cool thinker compared to Sanshiro and Shota.

Sanshiro’s family

Kennosuke Sugata

Sanshiro’s grandfather and judo master of the local dojo. For the most part, Kennosuke is critical of Sanshiro’s PlaWrestling exploits, preferring him to practice judo and eventually succeed him as dojo master instead. However, he is also shown secretly watching many of Sanshiro’s fights and worrying about the outcome. Eventually, Sanshiro’s success and determination convince Kennosuke to let him pursue his own dreams.

Kaoru Sugata

Sanshiro’s mother. Kaoru seems to be somewhat aloof, which makes her a foil for Kennosuke when discussing about Sanshiro. Despite her impression of naivete, she occasionally exhibits moments of profound insight in a situation, attributing them to her “maternal instinct”.

Machiko Sugata

Sanshiro’s little sister. Machiko is a lively child who supports Sanshiro in his endeavours. Despite her small age, she is prone to making surprisingly insightful remarks to many of her elders.

Kenichiro Sugata

Sanshiro’s father. Kenichiro died before the series begins and appears only in his photograph and Sanshiro’s imagination. Kenichiro’s research created PlaWrestling. His further attempts to use it for the benefit of mankind met with resistance from arms dealers who wished to use it as a means of warfare. Kenichiro ended up dead in a suspicious accident. After learning this, Sanshiro resolved to use PlaWrestling to continue his father’s research, which was a pivotal moment in the series.

Antagonists

Jose Garcia

The mastermind behind all the plans directed against Sanshiro. Jose Garcia is a ruthless arms dealer who manipulates the PlaWrestling scene worldwide by funding and essentially bribing its officials. In this way, he hopes to exploit PlaWrestling technology to develop robotic super-soldiers. It is possible that he orchestrated the accident in which Sanshiro’s father died. Somewhat atypically, Garcia is not defeated by the end of the series. He actually manages to develop and market robot soldiers of questionable competence, and Sanshiro believes in allowing the world to judge for itself whether the peaceful or aggressive use of PlaWrestling technology is more useful.

Ballesteros

Chairman of the World PlaWresting Association (WPWA) and henchman to Jose Garcia. Ballesteros is a self-important man who manipulates the Association, its Japanese branch (JPWA) and the Fighting-type Modeler League to further Garcia’s ends. After Garcia develops his robot soldiers, he loses interest in PlaWrestling and cuts funding, leading an enraged Ballesteros to face off against Sanshiro in the series finale. Like Garcia, Ballesteros suffers no consequences for his villainous actions besides feeling defeated and humiliated.

Sheila Misty

An enigmatic and beautiful woman riding a motorbike, Shiela spies on Sanhsiro from the first episode and constantly manipulates events and people to force him to give up PlaWrestling. Eventually it is revealed that she works for Jose Garcia, who has convinced her that he will heal her brother’s Mash’s legs, who were disabled when Garcia’s car crashed into Sheila’s motorbike. After she realises Garcia’s deception, Sheila becomes an ally of Sanshiro. She also has an unnamed female PlaWrestler.

Gendou Kurosaki

Boisterous and self-important, Kurosaki is Japan’s national PlaWrestling champion for three consecutive years. However, he loses from Sanshiro in the first episode, partly due to damage his PlaWrestler, Mad Hurricane, sustained during the championship match. This event makes Kurosaki a fierce rival of Sanshiro, and they clash for most of the series. Later on, Kurosaki becomes more sympathetic after seeing the troubles Sanshiro has to overcome and ends up his ally. Kurosaki is the region’s foremost Fighting-Type modeler, following the philosophy of winning at any cost.

Other characters

Shinogu Narita

In contrast with Kurosaki, Narita is the region’s foremost Hobby-type modeler. Hobby-types generally view PlaWrestling as a contest of skill and place the well-being of their PlaWrestlers above winning. Narita is down-to-earth, intelligent, collected and has the respect of Sanshiro and his team, but his attitude sometimes makes him take things too seriously and appear cold and distant. Narita’s PlaWrestler is called Ikaros Wing.

Dr. Warmer

A colleague of Sanshiro’s father, Dr. Warmer helped develop PlaWrestling technology. After telling Sanshiro of his father’s desire to use PlaWrestling to help the disabled, Sanshiro gathers data from Juohmaru’s battles and send them to him. Dr. Warmer analyses this data and eventually comes up with a novel technology that relies on brain wave induction to restore a person’s mobility.

Merchandise

The 1983 Plawres Sanshiro soft vinyl robots are considered extremely rare. Instead of selling giant robots scaled down to toy size, what was sold and marketed to the public was pocket robots at about 30 cm tall claiming to be identical in size to the TV show version. Despite having the rival robots available for sale, the consumer trend at the time was to purchase the protagonist robots, thus most sales were limited to just 1 robot.

In the end, there may have been reissues and re-releases of the toy line, including models that require assembly. But because there were so few Plawres Sanshiro soft vinyl robots in circulation to begin with, the 80s original model is considered an exceptional collectible gem.

Reaction

Plawres Sanshiro came at a time when the Asian late 70s - 80s anime scene was practically dominated by giant robots every year. The show was uniquely different since it mixed genre and featured a lead robot character that did not tower over buildings, grow in size or carried any firearms. Because of its unique substance, contents, and a relatively short episode count of 37, it had a very limited lifespan in the market.

Though the influence of Plawres Sanshiro is visible 12 years later with the arrival of Pokémon. From appearance, Pokémon’s lead character Ash Ketchum wearing the red cap heavily resembles Sanshiro. Even Sanshiro’s style of casting his pocket robot in 1983, is similarly mirrored to Ash’s casting his pocket monster in 1995. Both shows share the same concept of pocket tournaments.

Trivia

Jomaro / Jumaru was the robot’s name in the Arabic and Greek version.

The Arabic version was a big hit amongst Arabic speaking children in GCC countries as well as the Greek version in Greece during the late 1980s.

In Japan and Hong Kong it was televised Sunday 5:00pm - 5:30pm.

The Arabic Plawres Sanshiro intro music was very different from its Asian counterparts.

The concept of tiny robots was used in the game Gotcha Force The main character Kou has a similar last name.

Plawres Sanshiro was a likely influence on Clamp’s Angelic Layer.

The show has a dedicated fanbase in Greece. Originally released in 1986 as in VHS format (almost alongsides the cult hit Iga no Kabamaru), the show still maintains a following. Notably, most of the fans are well in their late 20s/early 30s and usually refer to the series alongsides Iga no Kabamaru.

The manga Hot Gimmick by Miki Aihara also features a character named Shinogu Narita.

The European Hamster, Cricetus cricetus, also known as the Black-bellied Hamster, is a species of hamster native to Europe. It is typically found in low-lying farmland with soft loam or loess soils, although it may also inhabit meadows, gardens, or hedges. It is widely considered a farmland pest, and has also been trapped for its fur. The black-bellied hamster is found from Belgium and Alsace in the west, to Russia in the east, and Romania in the south.

European hamsters are significantly larger than the Syrian hamsters or dwarf hamsters commonly kept as pets, being similar in size to guinea pigs.

In captivity, the European hamster has an unusually long life span, living up to eight years. They are very rarely kept as pets and have been known to attack large dogs if they feel threatened.

cls (for clear screen) is a command used by COMMAND.COM and cmd.exe to clear the screen or console window of commands and any output generated by them. It does not clear the user’s history of commands, however. In most other environments, like for instance Linux and Unix the same functionality is provided by the clear command.

While the ultimate origins of using the three-character string cls as the command to clear the screen likely predate Microsoft’s use, this command was present before its MS-DOS usage, in the embedded ROM BASIC dialects Microsoft wrote for early 8-bit microcomputers (such as TRS-80 Color BASIC), where it served the same purpose. The MS-DOS dialects of BASIC written by Microsoft, BASICA and GW-BASIC, also have the cls command as a BASIC keyword. The cls command is not present in the BASIC versions for Microsoft Windows (such as Visual Basic) where clearing the screen does not make sense because the program’s user interface is managed by the operating system while the program runs.

The command cls has appeared as a clear screen command in many other BASIC dialects and command interpreters, because of its familiarity through being included in MS-DOS.

NOTE: Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, Shaviyani, Noonu, Raa, Baa, etc. are code letters assigned to the present administrative divisions of the Maldives. They are not the proper names of these divisions or atolls. The order followed by the code letters is from North to South, beginning with the first letters of the Dhivehi alphabet.
These code letters have become popular among tourists and foreigners in the Maldives who find them easier to pronounce than the true atoll names in Dhivehi, (save a few exceptions, like Ari Atoll).

History

With the copper finds in the medieval age, a mining district was initiated. The town Åtvidaberg became the seat of a mining industry community.

The town’s development was to be directed by the noble family Adelswärd. Through investments in the 19th and early 20th century the town developed into a modern industrial town.

In the 1970s the industry was dominated by Facit, making calculators. It was a major sponsor of the football team Åtvidabergs FF, one of Sweden’s strongest team in the 1970s. When Facit went bankrupt in the second half of the 1970s, it led to the downfall and degradation of the team.

An attack dog is a dog trained (and possibly bred) to attack, and possibly kill, living creatures. This may be done for a number of reasons:

A dog may be trained to attack cows and cats to participate in dog fighting.

A guard dog may be trained to attack humans to increase their effectiveness. The German Shepherd Dog is an example of a breed often used as a guard dog, as they are intelligent and easily trained. For these reasons they are also the dog most commonly used by police forces (see police dog).

A hunting dog or wardog may be trained as an attack dog to incapacitate prey or enemies without assistance from humans. Some examples of hunting dogs are the Irish Wolfhound and Russian Wolfhound (Borzoi). However, many other breeds of dog have been trained for hunting.

In most modern nations, the practice of training attack dogs for any purpose has been made illegal, due in part to the danger of an escaped attack dog killing innocent people. The main exception is police dogs, which are generally trained in non-lethal forms of attack such as attacking the arms or the legs, or simply restraining without causing injury.

A trackless train is a series of connected road vehicles, usually shaped like a railway train. They can also be called road trains, deltrain or dotto trains and Renner Trains.

A trackless train usually consists of a gas or diesel engine-powered tractor unit that is made to look like a steam locomotive, and about three trailers. The trailers are usually open-sided, but doors add a safety restraint, and may be covered over with plastic in inclement weather. There are various sizes and designs available, and depending on the design, each trailer may seat between 6 and 20 persons.

They have amusement value, particularly for children, and they are often used for the transport of tourists instead of buses especially in beach resorts. For example, the National Railway Museum runs a trackless train between its York museum and York Minster. In the Swiss town of Gruyères, a trackless train is the only vehicle allowed in the pedestrianised streets. Hiring of trackless trains for special events is possible.

In the lexicon of certain branches of Christianity, especially the Roman Catholic, Anglican, and Orthodox branches, religious as a noun usually refers to a member of a religious order of monks, nuns, friars, clerics regular, or other individuals who take the three vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience (the evangelical councils). Neither of those groups should be identified as clergy, which in Catholicism includes bishops, priests and deacons.

Though seemingly contradictory, there are also “religious priests” used in reference to priests who are members of orders, such as the Society of Jesus or the Franciscans. The tewo regions are also collectively known as Casamance after the river.
