Júlio César da Silva. Cesar Millan who

Júlio César da Silva, usually known as Júlio César (born march 8, 1963 in Bauru (São Paulo) was a football (soccer) player from Brazil. He played central defender with many teams in Brazil, Europe and with the Brazilian national team. He was widely considered one Brazil’s best central defenders. He also contributes in attack, frequently making runs into the opponent’s half using his midfield like technical skills to great effect aswell as his aerial ability too.

He should not be mistaken with Júlio César da Silva e Souza, Júlio César Santos Correa and Júlio César Soares Espíndola who have also played in Europe under the same nickname.


Clubs

Julio César played several seasons in France after making a good impression during the Football World Cup 1986.

He won the UEFA Champions League and European/South American Cup with Borussia Dortmund in 1997.


National team

Júlio César has played 15 times for the Brazilian national team.

He played the Football World Cup 1986 and won the Best Central Defender Award.
